Adoption

All of our horses can be adopted: Junior - £10.00, Adult - £25.00.  You will receive a certificate, photograph and profile of the adopted horse.  Adoption runs for a year and includes receiving copies of our newsletter, invitations to events and visits to the farm.

Experience Day

A relaxing day out in lovely surroundings for anyone interested in heavy horses but not necessarily with equine experience.  It includes an introduction to the breeds, basic care and grooming, essential working commands and some practical hands-on.  A great escape from daily routine.  Cost: £85.00 to include lunch and refreshments.

Heavy Horse Training Courses

We run one, two, and three day training courses in the handling, harnessing and care of heavy horses.  The courses are primarily geared for those with some equine experience, but not necessarily of working, heavy horses.  Groups are kept small and in some cases tuition is on a one-to-one basis to ensure individual attention.

One Day Programme - includes grooming, foot care and general welfare, correct fitting of harness, simple commands and long-lining.

Two Day Programme - adds working with a basic implement and cart work.

Three Day Programme - adds working with a pair.

This is just a guide to our programme.  Courses can be tailored to suit your individual requirements.  Four in a group maximum.  Weekdays only through spring and summer.  Weekdays and weekends during autumn and winter.  Dates arranged at mutually convenient times.

Vouchers (a birthday present with a difference) for the Experience Days and Training Courses are available and are valid until the end of 2009.  Dates are by mutual agreement.
